About Alyssa

Born in Lancaster, PA, Alyssa is an actress who got her start on the local stages of her hometown at the age of 8. A graduate of Muhlenberg College, Alyssa is an avid reader, writer, and Dungeons and Dragons player. Alyssa's specialities include stage combat, stunts, comedy, and a love of Shakespeare. She loves the bard so much, she TA'd her college's Classical Verse course.
She first learned stage combat under Fight Master Michael G. Chin, with her introductions to Rapier & Dagger, Broadsword, and Knife. She also has much experience with being a Fight Captain, serving in the position for the Strasburg Railroad Entertainment's 2021, 2022, and 2023 stunt productions.
Alyssa also enjoys writing when she is not on stage. She co-wrote two of Strasburg Railroad Entertainment's 2023/2024 productions: The Show Must Go On, a murder mystery aboard their luxurious Parlor Car, and Bonnie & Clyde, their summer stunt spectacular in which she played half of the famous duo: Bonnie Parker.

Alyssa just finished the Sound of Music at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre this summer, She also directed their summer Children's Theatre production of The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition, as well as teaching acting for the Broadway Bound Summer Camp. Up next she will be directing their winter production of Disney's Frozen Jr.!

Alyssa double majored in Theatre and English at Muhlenberg College, and graduated cum laude with a BA in both fields.
During her time in school she spent a semester abroad at the Accademia dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy. There she studied physical theatre techniques such as Grotowski, Hart, Lecoq, and Neutral Mask, in addition to Commedia dell’Arte, Voice in the Mask, and Alexander Technique.

Sketch Comedy, improv, crochet, embroidery, sewing (I worked in the costume shop in college!). Can whistle and wink and burp on command. One handed cartwheel (right side). Valid driver’s license and valid passport. Fully COVID-19 vaccinated. Mascot experience. Elementary Spanish and Elementary Italian. 1.5 years of fencing; unarmed and quarterstaff stage combat experience, high fall experience. Accents: RP, Cockney, Scottish, Irish, Russian, Southern. Full clearances to work with children in PA (I’m a substitute teacher). I also play Dungeons and Dragons on the internet!
